Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Medical Imaging
Reports to: Chair - Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging
JOB PURPOSE
The Department of Radiology and Imaging is seeking radiologist who is subspecialized in Neuroradiology.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
•To make a significant impact in the field of neuroradiology and related areas through innovations and to contribute to a collegial environment that will promote the clinical and academic growth of the Department.
•To provide clinical services, initiate research projects, actively engage in teaching for residents and fellows, and participate in quality improvement and value initiatives.
The academic appointment will be at a rank commensurate with experience and training. Depending on the candidate’s academic experience, a departmental leadership position will also be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
The candidate should be certified In Diagnostic Radiology with fellowship trained in recognized center in Neuroradiology and have a strong interest in academic radiology. Outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills are a prerequisite. The candidate should have prior evidence of research and productivities and educational efforts Clinical Skills:
•Has two year of fellowship in neuroradiology from a recognized center
• Read CT and MRI of the brain and spine and neck as well as spectroscopy for adults and pediatrics.
• Has an experience of at least three years in this Specialty.
•Perform neuroradiological procedures such as lumbar puncture myelography thermography. Training in neuro interventional and performing procedures such as stroke and coiling is not required but of added value. Academic skills:
Previous teaching responsibilities and experience. Research:
Has at least one publication
