The Faculty of Medicine at Saint George University of Beirut and Saint George Hospital University Medical Center invites highly qualified individuals to submit their application for the following vacancy:
Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Medical Imaging
Reports to: Chair - Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging
Therapies in patients with various forms of cancer are routinely performed with unsealed sources, such as treatment of patients with thyroid disease and neuroendocrine tumors. The section has state-of-the-art imaging equipment including PET/CT and SPECT/CT.
• To pursue an academic career in Nuclear Imaging and Radio-theragnostic at the rank of Instructor, Assistant or Associate or Professor with opportunities for leadership roles in our Radiology Department within the Nuclear Medicine Section.
• To provide image interpretation of a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures including positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission computerized tomography (SPECT) examinations. The section is composed of experts in multiple areas including general nuclear medicine and PET imaging, nuclear cardiology, prostate cancer imaging and therapy, and the imaging and treatment of patients with thyroid cancer.
Clinical Instructor and above
Clinical Skills:
• Has two year of fellowship in nuclear medicine from a recognized center
• Has a diploma in diagnostic imaging.
• Training in theranostics is of added value.
• Master reading and supervising PET and SPECT CT examinations.
Academic Skills:
• Previous teaching responsibilities and experience.
Research:
• Has at least one publication.
