Job Title: Communication Officer
Reports to: Manager - Communication
Responsible for developing and implementing digital communication strategies to enhance SGUB's presence. The incumbent will manage social media accounts, create engaging content, and optimize digital channels to effectively communicate with the target audience.
Under the supervision of the Communication Manager, undertake the following tasks:
1. Develop and implement comprehensive digital communication strategies aligned with SGUB goals.
2. Identify key target audiences and tailor communication approaches to effectively engage them.
3. Manage and oversee SGUB's social media accounts.
4. Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across various channels.
5. Monitor social media channels for trends and opportunities to enhance SGUB's online presence.
6. Develop compelling and relevant content for digital channels, including social media, website, and other online platforms.
7. Ensure content is aligned with brand messaging and resonates with the target audience.
8. Continuously optimize digital channels to maximize reach, engagement, and impact.
9. Utilize SEO strategies to enhance visibility and improve search rankings.
10. Monitor and analyze data metrics to assess the performance of digital campaigns.
11. Provide regular reports on key performance indicators and use data-driven insights to enhance strategies.
12. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information and insights for content creation.
13. Create visually appealing multimedia content, including graphics, photos, videos, and other interactive elements.
14. Ensure that multimedia content aligns with the organization's brand and engages the audience effectively.
15. Stay updated on the latest tools and technologies in digital communication.
16. Incorporate innovative strategies to keep the organization at the forefront of digital communication practices.
17. Foster a collaborative mindset and work effectively within a team.
18. Communicate digital communication strategies and updates clearly to internal stakeholders.• Follow-up on content preparation
19. Guide and oversee the designs of all marketing collateral including but not limited to: brochures and posters, print, radio and television commercials, social media content, etc. before going out.
20. Oversee and supervise all promotional items and gifts buying and production
21. Oversee the maintenance of photo and video archives as well as all marketing collateral
22. Assist in organizing the events at SGUB.
