The Faculty of Medicine at Saint George University of Beirut invites highly qualified individuals to submit their applications for the following vacancy

 

Job Title: Coordinator - General Medical Education (GME) Program 

Reports to: Dean

JOB PURPOSE

To coordinate and assist in the recruitment process and Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) curricular implementation and evaluation. 

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide support and meet regularly with Director of Post Graduate Medical Education concerning office management issues, projects, and activities
  • Assist in the orientation of residents and fellows
  • Follow up with residents whose medical records are not complete
  • Provide administrative support to residents and fellows
  • Organize the training activities, and certifications provided by the Hospital in collaboration with the concerned departments
  • Compile, tabulate, and report data for surveys, questionnaires, census reports, accreditation reports and other documents required by internal and external agencies as directed by the GME director
  • Assist in the implementation of all curricular related activities as per standards
  • Arrange life support training programs that cover the residents’ specialties, and residency years throughout the academic year, and track the validity of the residents’ certifications
  • Monitor the documentation of the patients’ records by performing random audits on the floors
  • Assist in the application of JCI accreditation standards, or other national and international accrediting agency requirements (depending on the demand), and hospital policies
  • Assist residents and physicians in the activation and usage of “My Evaluations” application and the timely delivery of feedback
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in sciences 
  • 3+ years of experience preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting.
                                           Or 
  • Master degree in Education or equivalent 
  • 2+ years of experience preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting. 
  • Proficiency in English, and Arabic. French is a plus
  • Advanced Skills in digital platforms including the (MS office) Suite 
  • Very good communication skills.
