Saint George Hospital University Medical Center (SGHUMC) is a nonprofit academic medical center, one of the oldest and most reputable medical institutions in Lebanon, belonging to the Orthodox Archdiocese of Beirut. SGHUMC provides its patients with expert medical and surgical care by an outstanding team of physicians and nurses specialized in all medical and surgical skills.

Currently recruiting qualified Hospitalist Physicians to join our team of physicians. Responsible for managing the entire treatment process for our patients and providing excellent in-house patient care.

Job Title: Hospitalist Physician
Reports to: Chief Medical Officer


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provides excellent patient care
  • Takes patient medical histories
  • Updates patient information and charts with the latest findings and treatments
  • Reviews and interprets test results
  • Educates, counsels, and assists patients and families regarding current health problems and health maintenance activities
  • Responds to questions and concerns from patients about their health care and well-being
  • Cooperates with various medical staff, such as anesthesiologists, surgeons, internal medicine specialists /subspecialists, pediatricians and nurses, to provide patient care
  • Monitors patients' conditions and progress and revaluates treatments as necessary
  • Share information both when requested and when anticipating someone might have a need
  • Mentors’ medical students
  • Maintains punctual presence for assigned work days/nights and weekends, in compliance with SGHUMC Human Resources policy on attendance
  • Adheres to the bylaws of SGHUMC
 

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

  • MD or professional degree in medicine from an accredited medical school
    2 to 3 years of hospitalist experience
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine, General Surgery, Pediatrics 
  • Having the Colloquium and license to practice medicine from MOPH

  • Strong team working and collaborative skills
