Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor - Biochemistry
Reports to: Dean – Faculty of Medicine
JOB PURPOSE
Engage the education, research, and service duties relating to the fields of Biochemistry through the development, management, and implementation of academic programs, and as needed through active involvement in the clinical services in Saint George Hospital University Medical Centre (SGHUMC)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
To be involved as a proactive team member and lead in the following areas: Academics, institutional development, research, and service. Involvement as needed, in the clinical laboratory department and patient care at SGHUMC.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a related field or MD with training in the basic sciences of Biochemistry
Experience in a full-time position as Assistant/Associate professor level in a Faculty/School of Medicine in an accredited university
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ Years of Academic Experience in medical education
Experience with learning approaches: Team-based Learning, Flip Classroom, etc. is a plus
Hospital service experience is a plus
