Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor for Medical Education and Pedagogy
Reports to: Dean – Faculty of Medicine
JOB PURPOSE
Address the needs of the Faculty of Medicine in pedagogy, education, curricular, and co-curricular matters and contribute to teaching and scholarly learning through the development and implementation of a competency-based medical education program.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Engage the education, research, and service duties relating to the fields of Medical Education through the development, management and implementation of academic programs, and in teaching, mentoring and counselling of students. Maintain an active involvement in the capacity building of the human resources and in clinical services in Saint George Hospital University Medical Centre (SGHUMC).
QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Medical Education or a related field or MD with training in Medical Education
Experience in a full-time position as Assistant/Associate professor level in a Faculty/School of Medicine in an accredited university
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5+ Years of Academic Experience in medical education
Experience with learning approaches: Team-based Learning, Flip Classroom, etc. is a plus
Hospital service experience is a plus
