SGUB Faculty of Nursing Leads Community Outreach for International Diabetes Day
The Faculty of Nursing at Saint George University of Beirut (SGUB) marked International Diabetes Day with a full day of community-centered activities that extended far beyond the classroom.
Our nursing students visited multiple institutions including Annunciation Orthodox School, Zahrat El Ihsan School, École des Trois Docteurs, Foyer Saint George, and Vieillir Avec Plaisir, where they delivered educational presentations focused on diabetes prevention, early detection, and healthy lifestyle practices.
On campus, students hosted an interactive awareness booth at the SGUMC Patio, offering screenings, guidance, and essential health information to visitors. The day concluded with a Diabetes Awareness Conference held in the Batlouni Amphitheatre, bringing together experts, students, and community members for deeper discussions on diabetes care and management.
SGUB is proud of its future caregivers, who continue to lead with compassion, knowledge, and meaningful impact across our community.
