White Coat Ceremony 2026

White Coat Ceremony 2026
The White Coat Ceremony, held on May 29, 2026, at Saint George University of Beirut, marked a defining moment in the academic and professional journey of our medical students as they officially entered the clinical phase of their education.

A longstanding tradition in medical education, the White Coat Ceremony symbolizes not only the transition from classroom learning to patient-centered care, but also the acceptance of the ethical responsibilities, professionalism, and compassion that form the foundation of the medical profession.

Hosted in the patio between Saint George University of Beirut and Saint George University Medical Center, the ceremony brought together university leadership, faculty members, healthcare professionals, parents, and distinguished guests in celebration of this important milestone.

The event featured inspiring addresses by His Eminence Metropolitan Elias Audi, SGUB and SGUMC leadership, faculty representatives, and a student representative, who shared valuable insights on the privilege of serving patients, the importance of lifelong learning, and the commitment required to uphold the highest standards of medical practice. Their words encouraged students to embrace the challenges ahead with integrity, empathy, and dedication.

The ceremonial donning of the white coat served as a powerful reminder of the trust placed in future physicians and the profound impact they will have on the lives of individuals and communities. It represented not only an achievement earned through hard work and perseverance, but also a pledge to pursue excellence in patient care and medical scholarship.

We proudly congratulate all students who received their white coats and commend them for reaching this significant milestone. As they begin this new chapter of clinical training, we wish them continued success and look forward to witnessing their growth into compassionate, skilled, and responsible physicians.
