Testimonials

Dr. Habib Barakat, MD – Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology, USEK; Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology, NDSUH

The Faculty Development Program in Medical Education was a trademark in my academic career. The program provided a structured, evidence-based approach to teaching that reshaped how I engage with students, assess learning outcomes, and mentor junior faculty. It offered practical strategies that I continue to apply in both the classroom and clinical setting. More importantly, it reinforced my commitment to continuous improvement in medical education and leadership. It was a great experience by all means.

Ms. Dolly Rady, DHIM – University Library Manager, SGUB

The FDP course gave me a new perspective on how I teach and support students in developing their information literacy skills. I learned a lot, grew professionally, and discovered new ways to improve my sessions. Even with my academic background and years of experience, it added something meaningful to my journey.

Ms. Vicky Gebran, MSN – Academic Coordinator, Faculty of Nursing

Enrolling in the FDP course greatly enhanced my teaching skills by introducing new methods that improve the quality of nursing education. I benefited in many ways, such as through interactive learning—for example, implementing case-based learning, which engaged students and helped develop their critical thinking. In the practicum, I used OSCEs and developed checklists and rubrics to evaluate students. This was very beneficial, as students became more confident and competent during clinical training. I’m truly grateful for this opportunity and strongly encourage nursing instructors to participate in this course.

Dr. Joelle ayoub, PhD – Head of Molecular Biology, SGHUMC

The Faculty Development Program FDP has profoundly grounded my teaching approach in adult learning theories and competency-based education principles. Through sessions on active learning, case-based design, and collaborative strategies, I have gained practical tools to enhance student engagement and critical thinking. Overall, FDP has been a catalyst for my professional growth, fostering reflective teaching practices and a deeper commitment to learner-centered education.

Dr. Joelle Seoud, PhD – Dean, SGUB Faculty of Nursing

Participating in the Faculty Development Program in Medical Education has significantly enhanced my teaching effectiveness by deepening my understanding of learner-centered strategies and evidence-based pedagogy. It has enriched my ability to design outcome-driven curricula and foster reflective learning environments. This experience has also strengthened my professional identity as an academic leader, equipping me with the tools to mentor colleagues and contribute to institutional excellence.

Dr. Abdo Berro, PhD – SGUB Faculty of Medicine.

Participating in the Faculty Development Program has been an enriching and professionally rewarding experience. Although I have previously received training in Team-Based Learning (TBL) and have been actively applying TBL methodology in my blocks for over two years, the FDP offered a unique platform to further enhance my instructional approach.

The program provided valuable new insights into pedagogical strategies and fostered meaningful exchange with colleagues, allowing me to both learn from others and share my own experiences as a participant in the program and a co-instructor in one of the sessions.

This collaborative atmosphere allowed me to share my experiences while learning from others created a dynamic and supportive environment for growth. And through the program’s well-structured sessions and reflective discussions, I was able to refine my teaching techniques and instructional designs, broaden my perspective on medical education’s best practices, and helped me further refine my approach in the classroom.

I highly commend the FDP for its structured design, collaborative spirit, and its role in advancing faculty excellence. The FDP not only deepened my understanding of TBL but also reinforced the importance of continuous professional development in medical education.
